Nintendo will devote its next showcase entirely to Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. The company has scheduled a Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Direct for August 4 at 7 a.m. PT, with roughly 20 minutes of new information about the strategy RPG.

The broadcast arrives six weeks before the game’s September 17 release on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s official product page lists Fortune’s Weave as a single-player title built around four heroes competing in the Heroic Games, a tournament whose winner is promised one wish.
Nintendo has not outlined which parts of the game will appear in the presentation. That makes the 20-minute runtime the useful detail rather than a promise of any particular character, mode, or feature. The dedicated format does, however, give Fortune’s Weave more room than it would receive inside a broader multi-game Direct.
The Heroic Games return to center stage
Fortune’s Weave takes place in Dagsion, the capital of the Dagdan Empire. Fighters travel there for the Heroic Games, while the campaign follows four contenders whose separate paths are tied to the fate of the wider world. Nintendo has framed the contest and each hero’s wish as the story’s central points of tension.
Preparation between matches is also part of the campaign. Players can train and recruit allies in Dagsion, leave the city to fight bandits and monsters, explore dungeons, and gather resources before returning to the tournament. Actions consume limited preparation time, so decisions made away from battle affect how an army develops.
Combat retains the series’ strategic, turn-based structure. Units have individual strengths and weaknesses, while the four lead characters bring special abilities that can alter an encounter. Nintendo has also confirmed that the game supports TV, tabletop, and handheld play on Switch 2, with an estimated 29.5 GB download listed on the store page.
The August presentation follows Nintendo’s June overview of Fortune’s Weave, which established the September date and introduced the tournament premise. The new showcase is positioned as a deeper update rather than the game’s first reveal, and it lands close enough to release for its details to shape players’ preorder decisions.
Nintendo is taking preorders for a digital edition and a physical Dagdan Collection. The collector’s package includes the full game, a steel case, an art book, character art cards, and a map of Dagda. The standard store listing carries an ESRB Teen rating for fantasy violence, mild language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol, and in-game purchases.
The Direct will stream from Nintendo’s official channels. With the launch now less than two months away, August 4 should provide the clearest look yet at how the Heroic Games, four protagonist routes, and time-limited preparation fit into a complete Fire Emblem campaign.
