Keen Games has announced that Enshrouded will leave Early Access on October 15, 2026, marking the full release of the open-world survival action RPG after roughly two and a half years in development. The announcement was made via a Steam news post on June 25, alongside a new roadmap detailing what players can expect between now and the 1.0 launch.

The full release brings the game to version 1.0 with all systems, story content, and endgame loops finalized. Developer Keen Games confirmed in a Steam blog post that the 1.0 launch will include the complete main story, final skill trees, and all planned biome regions. Early access players have been able to build bases, explore the Shroud, and craft gear since the games initial release, but 1.0 marks the first time the complete narrative arc is available end to end.
Enshrouded launched in early access in January 2024 and has received consistent updates throughout its development cycle. The October 1.0 release will be available on Steam with full crossplay support across PC and console platforms. Pricing for the 1.0 version has not yet been announced, but existing early access purchasers will receive the full game at no additional cost.
What Is Changing for 1.0
The full release will include new biomes, enemies, additional crafting recipes and equipment tiers, expanded skill trees, and more building materials. Keen Games has stated that the game will receive a price increase when it leaves Early Access, though no specific launch price has been announced.
The most recent major update, Forging the Path, introduced quality-of-life improvements, a combat overhaul, and the first version of Adventure Sharing, which lets players share their custom-built worlds.
