Xbox Game Pass is heading into September with a wave built around co-op, survival, fighting games, and a major Call of Duty campaign. In its September Game Pass announcement, Microsoft confirmed the first half of the month’s additions, including several day-one releases and a familiar shooter joining the catalog.
The first batch is useful because it mixes immediate access with a steady run of dated arrivals. Shelldiver is available now on cloud, console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass. SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed follows on September 3 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, bringing its competitive co-op platforming to Xbox Series X|S and PC, with cloud support also listed.
Seven arrivals, plus a 1.0 launch
Dice a Million arrives on September 4 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC. Microsoft describes it as a roguelike deck builder built around assembling a bag of dice, rings, and other tools as players chase a roll of 1,000,000. The same date also brings an EA Play early access trial for EA Sports NHL 27 on console. Game Pass members can try the ten-hour trial, and progress carries over if they decide to buy the full game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the largest name in the middle of the schedule. It lands on September 8 for cloud, console, and PC through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. The most substantial long-term addition is RuneScape: Dragonwilds on September 15. The Xbox announcement puts the co-operative survival game on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Jagex’s official Game Pass release announcement confirms that it will launch day one for subscribers alongside the 1.0 release. The game sends solo players or groups of up to four into Ashenfall, where they gather resources, build shelters, use magic, and work toward the Dragon Queen.
That September 15 date also marks the full release of TCG Card Shop Simulator on Game Pass. The game leaves Game Preview and expands its shop-management loop with the Tetramon trading card game, deck building, and tournaments. It is listed for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC.
What leaves the catalog
Microsoft is also giving subscribers a clear deadline for ten games leaving on September 15: Commandos: Origins, Cricket 24, Cyberpunk 2077 on cloud and console, Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Frostpunk 2 on PC, Mullet Madjack, Spiritfarer, Superliminal, and Train Sim World 5. Subscribers who want to keep playing can use the member discount to buy games before they disappear from the library.
